Comrades,
The Command & Conquer 3 Red Alert 3 Mutliplayer Beta Test has officially launched. We recently activated the first 2,000 people in our public queue who registered their beta key from their copy of Kane's Wrath. As we mentioned before, we are starting the activation process with a very small pool of testers and will work to ramp this number up to thousands and thousands of Comrades around the world on a weekly basis, likely multiple times a week throughout the rest of this month and August. If you are visiting this page from the recent Command & Conquer newsletter story, please read all the information contained on this page so you have a general idea of when YOU will be playing in the Red Alert 3 beta test.
For the latest up to the minute updates, please read the following message of updates:
* Right now we are very close to releasing the first content-patch update for the beta test and will look to coincide our next wave of activations with the release of this patch. This patch is going to contain a huge wave of balance updates and technical bug fixes. We are aiming to activate at least the next 10,000 people in our public queue in this next activation wave. This release is imminent but we will not set any exact time, but please know that we are working fast and hard to update the beta test software and dramatically increase our pool of testers. We hope to bring thousands of more Kane's Wrath registered users in to the beta test very, very soon. As soon as we send out the next wave of activations, we will update here at RedAlert3.com.
* Right now, the software status dictates how quickly we will ramp up the activation process for our beta test. If everything is progressing smooth on our servers, we will look to activate thousands of more players in our public queue in a very short span of time. This is likely to be the only time where we coincide activations with a patch release. It is with our fullest and honest intent to activate our entire public queue of Kane's Wrath registered users as quickly and comfortably as possible. Please remember, we will be rolling out the beta test activation keys based on the time in which you registered on our beta test website with the key contained in your copy of Kane's Wrath.
* There has been some confusion on the activation priority for users who are FilePlanet subscribers having access before early beta test registered users. First and foremost, you cannot simply subscribe to Fileplanet and get into our beta test. Fileplanet has been allotted an amount of keys which they will give away in a lottery next month to subscribers, and Fileplanet also has a small number of keys for "elite" FP subscribers who have helped beta test games in the past. Both of these are unique Fileplanet programs but are very small in nature and not the priority access point to our beta test. However, when we activate your beta key and send you the download instructions, you can subscribe to FilePlanet and take advantage of their "priority download privileges", meaning you can instantly download the beta file on their website without waiting in line.
* When we first activated the beta test publicly this past week, there were a few cases where FP "elite" subscribers were given acces to the beta test unintentionally. As mentioned above, priority activation status for the Red Alert 3 beta test will go to our public queue of users who purchased Kane's Wrath and registered their key on our beta test website. We apologize for the misunderstanding, do not worry!
Please remember, if you are one of the thousands who already purchased Kane's Wrath and registered your Beta Key, then you are in our public queue and awaiting activation status! The primary way to get in the Red Alert 3 Beta Test is to purchase a copy of Kane's Wrath.
We have also opened up our official Red Alert 3 Beta Test forums where you will be encouraged to post your constructive feedback to help us improve the game. Since the beta test is starting to trickle out, we chose to open up this forum section early. We will make sure to keep it updated with sticky threads and updates and certainly whenever we activate morepeople in our public queue, you will hear about it on our boards, official website, and via e-mail communications.
